Main stops
Sarajevo
With Baščaršija, the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque and complex and the Latin Bridge, it is the heart of the region — one of the rare cities where East and West meet on the same street.
Mostar
Its historic bridge over the Neretva (Stari Most) is a UNESCO site. With its stone streets and bazaar it is a small but striking stop.
Travnik, Jajce, Blagaj
Travnik the city of viziers, Jajce with its waterfall, and Blagaj with its dervish lodge are side stops that unite nature and history.
Suggested route
A 5–7 day programme based in Sarajevo comfortably covers Mostar, Blagaj, Travnik and Jajce. With more time, Montenegro and North Macedonia can be added.
